Equipe Vitesse a potted history.

Equipe Vitesse first hit the Le Mans track in 2001 and run under the Mister loft ladder banner. Who were the teams official sponsors. After competing every year since 1991 and never really featuring in the results I decided once and for all to put a team together that had every chance to win the great race. I decided on running only a three man team format using drivers where possible from my local club Buckmore Park. Drivers would have to be quick safe and physically fit and would also have to pay their share of the entry fee and travel and accommodation cost's. My thinking behind this was that if you had an investment in the team as a driver your commitment would be higher than just drafting in the best drivers and paying for the priviledge of watching them race. The rest is history. With wins in 2001, 2002, my big accident in 2003 second in 2004 and once again wins in 2005, 2006 3rd in 2007 and a win again in 2008 and 2009. Which now stands as a record at Le Mans for one team. In 2006 Bob Pope the organiser and owner of Teesside karting granted the team with the number 24 to be held in perpetuity in recognition of our achievements

I am very proud of the record of Equipe Vitesse and its drivers nearly all of which were home grown talent from Buckmore Park. Most of which have now gone on to all different aspects of karting and motorsport.
